About the Cupcake Florist

From Hungary to Farsley, Leeds.


The story behind The Cupcake Florist started in Hungary. Our baker was born and raised in Hungary before moving to the UK in 2013. Baking has always been a big part of her life, and over time that passion developed into the business you see today.

Before becoming a cake maker, she worked as a maths teacher. That background might seem quite different from baking, but the attention to detail and precision involved in both have certainly come in handy.

The Hungarian influence is still part of The Cupcake Florist today. It comes through in some of the flavours and ideas behind the cakes, alongside the modern designs and techniques we've developed here in Yorkshire.

The business is now based in Farsley, Leeds, where we make cakes and cupcakes for all sorts of occasions. Being a small independent business means we get to know what our customers are looking for.

Very beautiful and delicious cake ! !

I discovered this newly opened cake shop at Leeds Market. The staff were very polite and had a great attitude. Since I needed a custom-made cake and cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday, the staff gave me a WhatsApp number to contact the shop owner.

The owner replied very quickly and was very attentive. My daughter loves Melody, so I explained all my requests and the owner was very patient. When the cake was finished, they even sent me photos in advance to show me , very responsible ! !

The day before collection, my car broke down, so I needed to change to delivery at the last minute. The owner agreed without hesitation and delivered it very punctually.

My daughter’s birthday party was a great success , all my friends praised the cake for being delicious and beautifully made. The sweetness was just right and the children loved it too.

Took care of my son's allergy requirements and tasted amazing!

Found this place after seeing them at a summer event with their stall - my son has food allergies and I have struggled to find a baker to make him a proper cake until now! The lady I dealt with assured me everything was prepared separately and the choice available was great and prices really reasonable. The cake itself was amazing, really well presented and themed to match by sons birthday, and tasted incredible!

Best cupcakes I've ever eaten!

I must say that the cupcakes I had were the best cupcakes I have ever eaten. They were rich in taste and just moist enough to question if what they sell in shops can count as cupcakes.
They were gone almost immediately and every single one tasted amazing. My favourites being the chocolate orange and the fruity one.

The staff/owners were super friendly and chatty.

Now, regarding price it's £10 for 4 large muffins usually but I was lucky to only pay £5 via too good to go. £5 is definitely worth it for what you are getting and tenner can also be good price for them if you have money to spare. The cupcakes are way better than what you will get at various dessert shops so if you visit them, you definitely have to visit this place!
